The DPM Gown™ was created when one of the founding partners was recovering from breast cancer. She was sent home with the standard hospital garment she wore during her hospital stay. This gown was to assist her during recovery but instead, caused issues with the Jackson Pratt drains and provided no solution or consideration for the recovering patient. The drains hung straight down, pulling on the sutures. They tangled and pulled with any movement. This painful experience propelled her to develop an alternative solution to managing drain bulbs during the recovery process. With secure two-way pockets, the DPM Gown™ offers patients increased mobility, greater dignity and less discomfort, all of which contribute to a less stressful recovery.
